Retreat Hill Winery & Vineyard is committed to providing you with a friendly experience and high-quality wines made from grapes grown in Texas and some of the best grape-growing regions around the United States.

In 2009, our first three wines were submitted to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for the 2010 International Wine Competition. When the judging was complete, our Bordeaux-style Rustic Red Reserve and our Blazin' Blush White Zinfandel each took home a Bronze medal and our Claret-style Cabriolo took home a Silver medal. Our medal winning ways continued in 2010 with our Riesling capturing Silver and our Blazin' Blush capturing Bronze in the New York Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Our Vintner's Blend and our Gewurztraminer captured Bronze in the Lone Star International Wine Competion.

In 2011, Retreat Hill wines have became more recognized and garnered some very prestigous awards. Starting with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Rustic Red Reserve won a Silver medal in the Bordeaux class, PLUS Reserve Class Champion. You can see the fancy buckle hanging on the wall at Retreat Hill Cellars. Cabriolo won Bronze at Houston this year. We managed to score BIG at the 2011 New York Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Our Riesling won GOLD this year. Silver medal winners included our Sunset Syrah and Gewurztraminer. Our Reserve Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay took Bronze. In the 2011 Lone Star International Wine Competition, our Rustic Red Reserve and Cabriolo each took Silver. TABC Direct-to-Consumer Laws

Prior to September 1, 2009, Texas wineries and out-of-state wineries could ship up to three gallons of wine every 30 days to a consumer in Texas. House Bill 1084 of the 81st Legislative Session changed the limit to nine gallons within a calendar month OR 36 gallons within a 12-month period. This means that we can ship you no more than 3.79 cases per month OR roughly 15 cases per year. So please, feel free to order as much as we are allowed to ship.
