New Releases - Retreat Hill Riesling

Carl was laid to rest in Giddings, Texas on the morning of December 30, 2009. Retreat Hill Winery is in business today because Carl, perhaps knowing that his time on earth would end soon, sold his winery equipment and wine inventory to me. I will always be grateful to Carl, a man who could still give his word and make a deal on a handshake. That ...
Lehm Berg Winery Purchase
After planting a two-acre vineyard in the rolling hills of southern Grimes County, Billy S. Cox, Jr. knew that a winery would not be far behind. After discussing the purchase of a few pieces of equipment a few months earlier, Carl Droemer, owner of Lehm Berg Winery, contacted Mr. Cox about purchasing his winery equipment and inventory, lock, stock and barrel. On January 05, 2009, on the strength of a handshake, the deal was done and Retreat Hill Winery & Vineyard was born. Lehm Berg Winery ...
